Conte: Ivanovic deserves great respect for his career at Chelsea

Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte was very respectful of veteran defender Branislav Ivanovic as he threw on the Serbian for what could well be his last game at Stamford Bridge as the 32 year old closes in on a move to Zenit St. Petersburg in the coming days.

Ivanovic has struggled to find regular playing time under Conte's new regime and in recent weeks has even failed to make the matchday squad with Chelsea blessed with plenty of options in their squad for the defensive positions on offer.


Granada sign Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Silva

Spanish football club Granada has signed young Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Silva from his native club Nacional de Madeira for four and a half seasons.

Silva, 22, thus becomes the fourth addition of Granada in this winter transfer market, the La Liga club announced on Friday.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte accepted in his press conference today that he was prepared to let reserve keeper Asmir Begovic leave the club this January if he can sign a suitable replacement.

After having seen a bid for Scottish international Craig Gordan rejected this week, Chelsea are believed to have turned their attention towards Genoa keeper Mattia Perin, a once capped Italian international, who has been injured for the entirety of the season so far.


Manchester United midfielder set for QPR medical

Manchester United have accepted a £500,000 offer from Queens Park Rangers for 21 year old midfielder Sean Goss with the player set to have his medical at the London club later today. Goss' transfer fee could rise further based on his performance and other add-ons like QPR securing promotion to the Premier League.

Goss has never featured for Manchester United's senior team, but was taken on tour by former Manager Louis van Gaal, who was prepared to give the youngster an opportunity to impress and push for a first team berth. Jose Mourinho though hasn't been too impressed with the youngster's progress over the last 6 months and was prepared to allow him to move on.


Arsenal and Manchester United target inks new long term deal

FC Porto announced yesterday the extension of defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira's contract until 2022, with a 60 million euro buy out clause.

Danilo is a highly versatile player, who can play in defensive midfield, central midfield and at centre back as per the needs of his side. He is also known for his hefty physique and strength, which may make him suitable to playing in the Premier League sometime in the future.


Wenger not interested in re-signing in form German attacker

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has levied a massive charge against the Gunners' next Champions League opponents, Bayern Munich for having instigated Serge Gnabry's exit from the club.

Gnabry, who had an excellent Olympic Games this summer, left Arsenal for Werder Bremen on the conclusion of the tournament, but Wenger believes that German giants Bayern Munich were behind the actual transfer and will sign the youngster eventually, quite possibly this summer itself from Bremen.


Las Palmas poised to sign former Barcelona midfielder Halilovic

Hamburg said the move of its midfielder Alen Halilovic to Las Palmas is almost imminent, noting that the official deal will shortly be confirmed.

President of Hamburg Heribert Bruchhagen stated that the absence of the Croatian midfielder from the training session of the Bundesliga side on Thursday is a clear indication that the signing will soon be sealed.
