Juventus plotting a move for Porto defender Felipe

Brazilian defender Felipe is on the verge of joining Italian giants Juventus.

The Turin club has made a 30 million-euro ($33.6 million) offer to sign the 28-year-old from Porto, Brazilian news portal Globo Esporte said on Wednesday. It added that Felipe's agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, has already prepared the paperwork for the move, which will go through when Italy's summer transfer window opens in July.


Real Madrid spend $50m on Brazilian teenager Vinicius

Record European football champions Real Madrid have announced the signing of Brazilian teenager Vinicius Junior of Flamengo for a reported transfer fee of around 45 million euros ($50.4 million).

The deal will take effect in July next year but the 16-year-old will remain at Flamengo until July 2019, according to a Real Madrid statement on Tuesday.


Hertha Berlin sign Australian midfielder Mathew Leckie

Hertha Berlin have signed Australian midfielder Mathew Leckie from fellow German football club Ingolstadt, which has been relegated from the Bundesliga.

Hertha bolstered their offence with the signing of the 26-year-old, who on Monday put pen to paper on an undisclosed contract.

Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has dropped two major hints that he is preparing to leave the Spanish football club this summer.

The French international said in a TV interview in France on Monday night that there was a "six out of 10 chance" he could leave Atletico for Manchester United, and he followed that up with stronger declarations on Tuesday.

Italian football heavyweights Juventus have confirmed the permanent signing of loanee winger Juan Cuadrado from English Premier League champions Chelsea for €20 million ($22.4 million) on a three-year contract.

"Juventus announces that, following the meeting of the conditions provided by the contract, its obligation to definitively acquire the registration rights of Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea became due," the Turin club said in a statement on Monday.

After a disappointing football season with only one title, Bayern Munich have announced they are considering to invest a record over $100 million into new footballers.

Uli Hoeness, President of the German champions, announced that the club will overhaul its investment policy. More than 100 million euro ($112 million) will be made available to reinforce the current squad in order to attack Europe's top dogs in football such as Real Madrid, Juventus and FC Barcelona.

English Premier League (EPL) clubs Manchester United and Manchester City are in the race to sign Brazilian superstar and FC Barcelona forward Neymar.
