Jordi Gomez leaves Wigan for Rayo Vallecano

Midfielder Jordi Gomez has become the new footballer at La Liga club Rayo Vallecano following a free transfer until the end of the season.

Gomez, 31, on Tuesday signed for Rayo after finishing his contract at English side Wigan Athletic, with which he played 16 times this season and scored three goals, reports Efe.


Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva rejoins Cruzeiro on loan

Real Madrid have agreed to loan out midfielder Lucas Silva to his original team Cruzeiro, both football clubs have confirmed.

The 23-year-old will spend the next 18 months with the Brazilian Serie A outfit as he attempts to revive his stalled career, it was said on Tuesday, reports Xinhua. 


Veteran Brazilian midfielder Jadson rejoins Corinthians

Former Brazil international midfielder Jádson Rodrigues da Silva has agreed to return to his former football club Corinthians after parting ways with China's Tianjin Quanjian.

The 33-year-old ended two weeks of negotiations by agreeing to a monthly salary of around $125,000 US dollars over two years, Corinthians officials said on Tuesday, reports Xinhua.


Hamit Altintop moves from Galatasaray to Darmstadt

Darmstadt have wrapped up the transfer of Hamit Altintop from Turkish outfit Galatasaray, both football clubs have announced.

Bottom-placed Darmstadt reinforced their squad with the signing of veteran midfielder Altintop, who penned a deal until the end of the season, reports Xinhua.

Bayer Leverkusen have sealed the signing of Leon Bailey from Belgian outfit Genk, the Bundesliga football club confirmed in an official statement. The 19-year-old Jamaican international, who received jersey No. 9, has put pen to paper on a deal until June 2022.

"He is an exceptionally fast and skilled player who will add more momentum to our offense. We are sure that Leon Bailey will be a big win for us," Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voeller said on Tuesday.


Ajax sign Nerez, sell El Ghazi, allow Krul to leave

Dutch football giants Ajax have signed Brazilian youngster David Neres from Sao Paulo FC for a record fee and sold Anwar El Ghazi to French club OSC Lille.

Neres signed a deal in Amsterdam for four-and-a-half years until mid-2021 on Tuesday. Ajax paid around $12 million, which can rise to $16 million including bonuses. The transfer fee makes the 19-year-old winger the most expensive player ever bought by a Dutch club from a foreign side, reports Xinhua.


East Bengal sign Australian striker Christopher Payne

Kolkata football giants East Bengal on Wednesday confirmed the signing of Australian striker Christopher Payne as their fourth foreigner after parting ways with Kyrgyzstan's Ildar Amirov.

Payne has been hired in the mandatory Asian quota for foreigners. The other three foreigners are Willis Plaza, Wedson Anselme and Ivan Bukenya.
