Borussia Dortmund sign young PSG defender Zagadou

Eight-time German football champions Borussia Dortmund on Monday announced the signing of highly rated French teenager Dan-Axel Zagadou from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He has signed a contract until 2022.

"Dan-Axel Zagadou will be part of the first-team squad as of July. We completed this transfer with a view to the future, are totally convinced of the player's ability and are delighted to be able to help him take the next steps on his development as a Borussia Dortmund player," Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said in a statement.

Gerard Deulofeu yearning for Barcelona return

Spain winger Gerard Deulofeu has hinted at a possible return to Catalan football giants FC Barcelona over the summer.

Deulofeu is currently working with the Spain squad ahead of the forthcoming games against Colombia and Macedonia, before linking up with the Under-21 squad to play in the European under-21 Championships.

Brazil under-23 midfielder Thiago Maia of Brazilian Serie A outfit Santos has declared he is ready to join a European football club amid reports linking him to AC Milan and Lille.

Maia has a 14 million euro ($15.79 million) release clause which could be paid by the 20-year-old's suitors during the upcoming European summer transfer window, according the Diario de S. Paulo newspaper on Sunday.

Dynamic forward Antoine Griezmann on Sunday ruled out speculations about his leaving Atletico Madrid, insisting that it would be "dirty" to move elsewhere since the capital football club has been hit hard by a FIFA transfer ban till January 2018.

The 26-year-old French international was recently linked with a big money move to Manchester United. And the speculation over his departure increased on Thursday, after the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) ruled to uphold the FIFA transfer ban which means Atletico will not be able add to their squad until January 2018.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has asserted that he is keen to sign Leicester City's star forward Riyad Mahrez. This revelation comes hours after news broke of a failed £87m bid by the former English Premier League (EPL) champions for teenaged sensation Kylian Mbappe from reigning French league champions AS Monaco.

"We have not made a bid, but personally, I like the player, yes," Wenger told beIN Sports of Mahrez, who earlier this week handed in a transfer request at Leicester.
