Everton sign Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez

Spanish forward Sandro Ramirez was on Monday lapped up by English Premier League club Everton from Spanish La Liga side Malaga on a four-year contract.

Everton have been looking to bolster their attacking options this summer, with Romelu Lukaku appearing likely to leave Goodison Park, and have now signed the former Barcelona player until 2021.

Championship side Aston Villa on Monday announced the signing of Chelsea football club legend John Terry on a one year contract.

"Aston Villa is delighted to announce the signing of John Terry on a one-year deal," read the statement on the club's website.

Barcelona defender edges closer to Lisbon switch

FC Barcelona have given 33-year-old defender Jeremy Mathieu permission to train with Sporting Lisbon, opening the way for a possible move to the Portuguese club.

The former Valencia player, who joined Barcelona in 2014, still has a season left on his contract, but the club would probably allow him to move on a free transfer to open up a further place in their first team squad.

Former Liverpool and Chelsea coach leaves Sao Paulo

Former Liverpool coach Michael Beale has announced his resignation as assistant manager of Brazilian Serie A club Sao Paulo. The Englishman's decision came less than seven months after he accepted the job as Rogerio Ceni's right hand man.

"The decision was made for personal reasons that will remain private between me and the club's administration," Beale said in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Chelsea sign Man City discard on free transfer

Chelsea football club announced the signing of goalkeeper Willy Caballero, who spent the last three seasons at Manchester City. Chelsea on Saturday confirmed the signing in a statement on its website but did not specify the duration or value of the contract inked with the 35-year-old Argentine goalkeeper.

"I am very happy to join Chelsea, the champions of England. I am looking forward to meeting the guys and helping the club achieve more success in the coming season," Caballero said.

Barcelona return beckons for Gerard Deulofeu

FC Barcelona confirmed they have taken up their option to evoke the 12 million euro ($13.71 million) buyback clause on winger Gerard Deulofeu.

The 23-year-old winger, who is currently with the Spain Under-21 squad playing in the European Championships in Poland, broke records while in the Barcelona youth system and scored 18 goals with the club's B-team in the 2012-13 season. However, he was unable to establish himself in the first team squad and after loan spells with Everton and Sevilla he was eventually sold to Everton in 2015 after former Barca coach, Luis Enrique decided he didn't want him.

Lille set to sign Brazilian midfielder Mendes

France's Lille have agreed to a nine million euro ($10.2 million) deal for Sao Paulo midfielder Thiago Mendes, the Brazilian club confirmed. The announcement on Friday follows weeks of negotiations after new Lille coach Marcelo Bielsa identified the 25-year-old as a priority transfer target.

"The contract hasn't been signed but we have reached an agreement by email and telephone," Sao Paulo football director Vinicius Pinotti was quoted as saying by the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper.
