AS Monaco to sign Terence Kongolo from Feyenoord

Dutch football club Feyenoord have sold defender Terence Kongolo to French champions AS Monaco, the Dutch champions announced.

The 23-year-old Kongolo signed a deal for five years at Monaco on Monday. His contract at Feyenoord expires in mid-2019. Feyenoord received around 15 million euros ($17 million) for Kongolo, Dutch national broadcaster NOS revealed.

Arsenal's French striker Olivier Giroud on Tuesday said he wants to continue playing for the club and give his best.

"I won a few titles in my career, that is an important thing, but there is another thing which is important for me and that's that the people (see you as a) loyal warrior on the pitch -- that you always give your best for the team," he said," Giroud told Arsenal weekly podcast.

Barcelona and Real Madrid battling it out for Dani Ceballos

If Real Betis Vice President Lorenzo Serra Ferrer is to be believed, Barcelona are also in the race along with arch-rivals Real Madrid to sign midfielder Dani Ceballos.

"They (Barcelona) asked me what my opinion of Dani was, and I gave it to them, and you can imagine what it was," Ferrer was quoted as saying in a news conference by ESPNFC on Monday when asked whether Barcelona have evinced interest in the Spain under-21 international.

Bundesliga football club Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has admitted that Arsenal forward Alexis Sachez is out of the German club's reach.

"The salaries being talked about up front of around 20.26 million euros ($23 million) every year are definitely an amount that isn't feasible for FC Bayern," Hoeness told German website Kicker on Monday.

Leicester City set to sign Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra

Sevilla on Tuesday announced that it has reached an agreement with Leicester City for the transfer of midfielder Vicente Iborra to the English side. The Andalusian club confirmed the transfer of the 29-year-old Spaniard on its Twitter account in a move believed to be worth over $15 million.

Iborra is set to sign the contract with the Foxes after passing a medical.

Thiago Motta inks new deal with Paris St. Germain

Italian midfielder Thiago Motta on Tuesday extended his contract with Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain for another season, binding him with the club until June 30, 2018.

After Motta's last contract expired at the end of June, the two sides were involved in a twist-and-turn discussion. The Italian midfielder had been reported to leave the club, but the negotiation warmed up during recent days, and the player finally put his pen on the new contract.
