Gelson, Coates extend contracts with Sporting Lisbon

Sporting Lisbon extended the contracts of striker Gelson Martins and defender Sebastian Coates until 2022 on Friday.

Martins, who has played 30 games so far this season, will now have a 60 million euro ($64.4 million) termination clause, according to the club statement.


Ozone FC take Honduran striker Roby Norales on loan

I-League football champions Bengaluru FC on Friday loaned Honduran striker Roby Norales to second division side Ozone FC till the end of the season.

The 26-year-old joined Bengaluru a game into the I-League season. But he failed to fit into the plans of coach Albert Roca, prompting the club to trigger a move to fellow-Bengaluru side Ozone FC.


Gremio takes Chaves on loan from Penarol

Highly-rated Uruguayan teenager Martin Chaves has joined Brazilian football club Gremio on a year-long loan deal from Penarol. The 18-year-old midfielder confirmed the move in an interview with Brazil's Radio Bandeirantes on Thursday.

"It's a great opportunity. Gremio is a big Brazilian club and I'm very happy to be playing here," Chaves said.


Free agent Martin Caceres poised to join AC Milan

Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres, who has been without a team since last June, could sign a contract with Italian football giants AC Milan.
