Juventus have announced that Boca Juniors young midfielder Rodrigo Bentancu on Monday underwent his medical here ahead of a "proposed move" to the record Italian football champions.

The Under-20 Uruguay international, who arrived at Juventus Medical centre here this afternoon carried out routine tests, according to the Juventus website.

Felipe Gutierrez heads to Internacional on loan

Real Betis midfielder Felipe Gutierrez has joined Brazilian Serie A club Internacional on loan until the end of the year.

Under terms of the agreement, Internacional will have the option of signing a permanent deal for the 26-year-old Chile international, the Porto Alegre outfit said in a statement on their official website. He will be officially presented to fans and the media on Monday.

40 year old 'Loco' heading to Central Espanol on short term deal

Former Uruguay international striker Sebastian "Loco" Abreu has joined Montevideo-based outfit Central Espanol, the 24th club of his 23-year professional career, according to media reports. The 40-year-old is said to have agreed in principle to a six-month deal with Central Espanol after parting ways with Brazil's Bangu.

"Sebastian gets along very well with our coach [Jorge Artigas] and that's why we've been able to bring him," Central Espanol president Fernando Lopez was quoted as saying by the Referi news service on Saturday.

Former Chelsea duo join Indonesian giants Persib

Indonesian football giants Persib have signed two former English Premier League (EPL) stars Michael Essien and Carlton Cole with one-year contracts and the two have joined the team's training camp.

Striker Cole, 33, had scored 51 goals in the EPL with the clubs including West Ham United, Aston Villa and Chelsea. Cole signed the contract recently after his close colleague Essien joined Persib earlier this month.

Borussia Dortmund to sign Monchengladbach starlet

Mahmoud Dahoud will join Dortmund from Monchengladbach this summer, both Bundesliga clubs confirmed in an official statement on Thursday.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who was courted by European top-flight clubs, has agreed on a transfer to Dortmund after putting pen to paper on a deal until June 2022. Both sides agreed to remain silent over further contract details.

Brazilian football ace Neymar has put to rest all speculation about his move to Manchester United saying he would stay at FC Barcelona amid rumours in Spain that the mercurial forward might move to England.

A report from the Sport daily in Spain stated that Manchester United will offer Barcelona a world-record breaking transfer fee of 200 million euros (around $217 million) to buy the 25-year-old. It was also reported that the former Brazil captain has been offered in excess of 25 million euros ($27.1 million) per season.
