Former Dortmund star Kevin Grosskreutz joins Darmstadt

Defender Kevin Grosskreutz has joined bottom side Darmstadt, the Bundesliga team confirmed on Tuesday. The 28-year-old will strengthen Darmstadt for the next season as he put pen to paper on a deal until June 2019.

"I am delighted and proud that we have managed to sign a player like Kevin Grosskreutz. Kevin has a vast experience, is a world champion and played on an absolute top level. He will be an important part of our team for the coming season," Darmstadt's coach Torsten Frings said in a statement.


Simone Zaza to make Valencia move permanent

Valencia CF on Monday announced that the Spanish football club will make the contract of on-loan Italian forward Simone Zaza permanent from July 1.

"Zaza will become a Valencia CF player on a permanent basis, in accordance with the terms of the current loan agreement for the player signed with Juventus FC. The Italian striker's contract will run through to June 2021," Valencia said in a statement.

Turin-based Italian champions Juventus also announced that the permanent transfer fee is 16 million euros ($16.9 million), to be paid in two financial years, and may increase by a further two million euros ($2.1 million) on achieving given conditions in the course of the duration of the contract".

Timo Horn extends contract with Cologne

German football club Cologne and goalkeeper Timo Horn have agreed to a contract extension until June 2022.

"Timo Horn is an excellent goalkeeper. His career within the club has been remarkable and it demonstrates his ambition. It is great that he had opted for Cologne and a long-term contract," Cologne head coach Peter Stoeger said.

Hinting at Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos said the record European football champions' "doors are always open" for the best in the business.

There has been talk of the France star moving to Real with his adviser claiming last week that the Madrid heavyweights - along with Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Barcelona -- had asked about the 26-year-old's availability.


Chapecoense sign former Brazil youth star Ramos on loan

Former Standard Liege centre-back Victor Ramos has joined Chapecoense on loan as the tragedy-stricken Brazilian football club reinforces its squad for the Copa Libertadores. The 27-year-old former Brazil Under-20 international is contracted to Mexico's Monterrey but has spent the past two seasons on loan at Palmeiras and Vitoria.

Chapecoense will have the option of securing Ramos on a permanent deal when his loan expires in December.


Liverpool target Julian Brandt not heading to Munich yet

Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt's father has rubbished a media report that the Germany footballer has agreed terms to join Bayern Muncih. German media house Bild had reported last week that Bayern have reached an agreement with Brandt for a transfer fee of around $25 million.

The 20-year-old's current contract expires in 2019 but he would be available in the summer of 2018 for 12.5 million euros ($13.3 million) due to a release clause.


Juventus poised to sign Boca Juniors youngster

Juventus have announced that Boca Juniors young midfielder Rodrigo Bentancu on Monday underwent his medical here ahead of a "proposed move" to the record Italian football champions.

The Under-20 Uruguay international, who arrived at Juventus Medical centre here this afternoon carried out routine tests, according to the Juventus website.
