Brazilian football club Flamengo's wonderkid Vinicius Junior is set to join Spanish supergiants Real Madrid, according to reports in the Brazilian media.

It is being widely reported that the 16-year-old forward has reached an agreement with Real and the announcement will be made next week, reported citing media reports.

While insisting that he has "no reason to leave", Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has said he wants to see what signings the club are able to make in the summer.

Speaking to the "El Larguero" radio show on Wednesday, Griezmann said: "I really like it here. Now Miguel Angel [chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin] must speak with my agent. I do not make plans for tomorrow. I remain at Atletico because I am happy, just the same as the day I joined. I want trophies, to win things - that is why I came here."

After an emotional final game for Manchester City, Argentine defender Pablo Zabaleta said he is considering whether to join another English Premier League club or not. Zabaleta came on to a standing ovation in the 62nd minute against West Brom on Tuesday.

"I would not be the first to leave a club after so many years and come back in a different shirt," he was quoted as saying by BBC on Wednesday.


Man City confirm Zabaleta departure

Manchester City have announced that veteran right-back Pablo Zabaleta will leave the English football giants at the end of his contract this summer, ending a nine-year association with the club.

"The 58-times capped Argentina international has informed the club he will move to pastures new, but leave behind many happy memories," City said in a statement on Saturday.

Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund said veteran goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller has agreed to a one-year contract extension, which will keep him with the football club until June 2018.

"Roman has been an integral part of the BVB family for more than a decade. We are very happy that he wants to stand another year between Dortmund's posts." Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc said on Tuesday.
