Williams F1 Team Announces Updated Technical Line-up for the 2013 Season

The Williams F1 Team is pleased to announce an updated senior race operations line-up for the 2013 Formula One World Championship season.

Xevi Pujolar moves up into the newly created position of Chief Race Engineer, overseeing all aspects of race car performance within trackside operations. Xevi has been with the Williams F1 Team since 2003 and after spending the 2010 season as Senior Race Engineer at Hispania F1 he returned to Williams ahead of the 2011 season to become Race Engineer to Pastor Maldonado. Xevi remained in this role for two seasons which included helping steer Pastor to an historic victory in last year’s Spanish GP.

Lotus inks new extended deal with Microsoft

Lotus F1 Team announced today an extension of its partnership with the Microsoft Corporation. Following the successful first phase roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics at the team’s factory in 2012, the remainder of the current contract has been extended from two to four years.

Microsoft Dynamics branding will continue to feature on Lotus F1 Team’s 2013 car as well as the drivers’ overalls and team members’ uniforms. Microsoft Dynamics will continue to be directly engaged in the on-going business transformation at Enstone and trackside.

Mercedes announce Blackberry partnership

As the new Silver Arrow, the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS F1 W04, completes its first laps this morning at the Jerez circuit in Spain, the team is delighted to announce a significant new partnership agreement with BlackBerry.

As the Official Mobile Computing Partner for the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, BlackBerry will collaborate with the team on technical and marketing opportunities. The new BlackBerry 10 platform will deliver tools and services for MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS and fan engagement will be improved through the joint development of apps. BlackBerry 10 smartphones will also be used by the team so they can 'keep moving' throughout the Formula One season.

Chris Nenzani elected as CSA President

Chris Nenzani was elected as President and Dr. Peter Cyster as Vice-President at the Annual General Meeting of Cricket South Africa on Saturday. Mr. Nenzani will automatically serve as chairman of the Board of Directors as well.

The other five non-independent directors were elected as follows: Mr. Andy O’Connor, Mr. Beresford Williams, Mr. Graeme Sauls, Mr. Fa-eez Jaffar, Mr. Rihan Richards.
