Following her gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, teenage sensation Alethea Sedgman will look to retain the form that propelled her to victory in Delhi.

The Australia Cup Final will act as a ranking event for the Australian athletes and is an important step into gaining qualification for the 2011 World Championships team.

Loots Bosman provided a reminder that he can be just as effective at the longer form of limited overs cricket as he is in the shorter format with a blitzkrieg innings of 150 off only 86 balls (12 fours and a six) in the MTN40 cross-pool match at the Maritzburg City Oval on Sunday.

Strangely it was his first century at List A level and is probably the reason why he has not been used more regularly by the Proteas in the ODI arena. If that is so, he couldn’t have chosen better timing to set out his World Cup stall.
