Chelsea superstar David Luiz hits out at his English critics

Brazil centre-back David Luiz, who left Paris Saint-Germain and returned to Chelsea for around 35 million pounds ($39.2 million), says he has taken a risk of coming back to the country which is not happy with him.

Despite winning several trophies like the Champions League, the Europa League, fans and critics still criticised him to which the 30-year-old volatile Brazilian said he wanted to taste something new and that was the reason he took this risk.

Hull City begin search for new Manager as Marco Silva resigns

Portugal's Marco Silva has resigned as Hull City manager after the club's relegation from the English Premier League, the club announced.

Silver led Hull to six wins from his 18 Premier League games, with relegation confirmed after a 4-0 defeat by Crystal Palace on May 14.

'Big Sam' Allardyce retires from football after Crystal Palace rescue act

Sam Allardyce has resigned as Crystal Palace head coach after completing his mission of keeping the south London football club in the English Premier League (EPL). He also hinted that he fully intends to retire after more than 25 years as a professional coach.

Allardyce, who replaced Alan Pardew in December when the team was one point above the relegation zone, led the Eagles to finish 14th in the standings, winning eight matches out of 21.

Chelsea coach Antonio Conte was named Manager of the Year and English Premier League Manager of the Year after leading the London club to the league title, the League Managers' Association (LMA) announced on Tuesday.

The former Italy and Juventus head coach was presented the newly commissioned Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy by former Manchester United coach Ferguson and England Manager and LMA President Gareth Southgate at the 25th LMA Annual Awards Dinner on Monday night.

Close on the heels of winning the English Premier League (EPL) title with Chelsea, French midfielder N'Golo Kante was named Player of the Year by the football League on Sunday.

The diminutive player, who made a name for himself after winning the EPL with Leicester City last year, collected a third individual prize to a list of achievements this season that includes bagging a second consecutive league title.

Harry Kane scored four goals as Tottenham Hotspur crushed defending champions Leicester City 6-1 in the penultimate match of the season at the King Power Stadium. Son Heung Min added the other two on Thursday to bring his goal tally to 20 in the season, becoming the highest-scoring South Korean player in a European season.

Kane opened the scoring in the 25th minute from close range before Son made it 2-0 by volleying in Dele Alli's pass. Ben Chilwell put it 2-1 after the break.
