Canada will play for fifth place at the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup (WRWC) after a dominant 52-0 win over Wales in the fifth-place semifinals Tuesday at Queen’s University.

Looking to make a point after missing the World Cup semifinals, Canada was on the front foot from start to finish, scoring eight tries and rolling to a no-doubter. Canada will play Australia in the fifth place match Aug. 26 (9am ET/6am PT). The Australians beat Ireland 36-24 in the other semifinal.

Canada Women’s Team head coach Francois Ratier has made four changes to his starting lineup for his team’s fifth place semifinal matchup with Wales Tuesday at the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup (WRWC) in Ireland.

Coming off a disappointing loss to New Zealand that ended Canada’s World Cup title dreams, Ratier has inserted four different players into the starting lineup and made one alteration amongst positions as the team prepares for Wales.

Serbia played a 1-1 draw with Wales in Group D of the 2018 football World Cup European qualifiers at the Rajko Mitic Stadium.

Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey scored from the penalty spot in 35th minute, but Serbian forward Aleksandar Mitrovic equalised in the 73rd minute to ensure a share of the spoils.

The Wallabies have defeated Wales 32 to 8 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Sunday morning getting their Grand Slam tour off to a winning start. The Wallabies have now won 12 in a row against Wales, maintaining a perfect record against the Dragons from 2009.

Australia dominated possession and territory running in five tries to Wales’ one as the Wallabies dismantled the Welsh defence in the first half and finished well in the second.

Wales coach Chris Coleman has dismissed his Austrian counterpart Marcel Koller's claim that Wales were "lucky" to reach the 2016 Euro semi-finals.

Koller made the comment ahead of Austria's World Cup qualifier against Wales in Vienna on Thursday late night, according to a BBC report.

SA Schools coach Lance Sendin on Saturday lauded his team’s character as a last-gasp try secured them a 13-12 victory against England in the final round of the U19 International Series at Paarl Boys’ High to secure a whitewash in the tournament.

In a strange twist to the final day’s play, a missed conversion by the SA Schools A team, meanwhile, saw them go down 17-18 against Wales. In the opening match of the day, Italy defeated France 30-21.

SA Schools coach Lance Sendin and SA Schools A coach Sean Erasmus on Thursday named their teams for the opening round of the Under-19 International Series at City Park Stadium in Crawford, Cape Town, on Friday.

The SA Schools team will face Wales at 15h00 and the SA Schools A team takes on Italy at 13h30. In the other fixture England and France clash at 12h00. All three matches will be broadcast live on SuperSport 1 (channel 201).
