Nani exit rumours resurface, Man United place £14m price tag

Manchester United’s disillusioned winger Nani is once again in the shop window after his shocking performance against Chelsea in the FA Cup and the Red Devils want to use the Portuguese to fund their capture of Pablo Hernandez. Nani just has a year left in his current contract and according to the Mirror United are seeking £14m for the 26 year old, who has Zenit and Inter Milan on speed dial.

Mourinho hands over list of demands to Chelsea over Stamford Bridge return

Jose Mourinho is anything but high maintenance according to Jose Mourinho and the self-anointed ‘Special One’ has informed Chelsea of his demands if the Blues intend to have him back as their manager. The Mirror report that Mourinho has asked for a pay-package of £12m-a-year to leave Real Madrid, Champions League football and more intriguingly, he has asked for Frank Lampard to be offered a new contract. In truth, this might well be a ploy used by Lampard to get a new contract, so don’t be surprised if the Mourinho wagon doesn’t come rolling into South-West London in the summer.

Man United and Liverpool overtaken by AC Milan in chase for Dede

Vasco Da Gama’s highly-acclaimed centre-back Dede has been placed firmly in the shop window by the cash-strapped Brazilians, reports the Express. Man United and Liverpool have been scouting Dede for a while now but the English giants have seemingly been overtaken by AC Milan as Vasco’s president said this: “There is a price. You need to see if Milan intends to reach that number, then we talk. Of course, the player likes Milan and the club has a great charm.”

Liverpool to fund Mkhitaryan capture through Skrtel sale

Brendan Rodgers has been told to clear plenty of high wage earners at the club before splashing further money in the summer, prompting the Liverpool boss to offer Martin Skrtel to anyone willing to listen. The Express reports that the sale of the out-of-favour centre back is to primarily fund Liverpool’s possible move for Shakhtar Donetsk star Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has indicated a strong desire to leave the Ukrainian club in the summer.

The Premier League’s biggest French importers, Arsenal and Newcastle, have received a huge boost in their bid to land St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the player himself came out in the open about a possible move away from the Ligue 1. The 23 year old Gabon International has been a target for the English clubs for quite some time, with his return of 16 goals this season only adding to the hype surrounding the player.

Aubameyang revealed to TalkSport that he wasn’t in any hurry to leave St Etienne, his club since 2011. Originally from AC Milan, Aubameyang could never cut it out at the San Siro and had to spend multiple short spells away on loan before finally settling down at St Etienne. He still has two years remaining in his current deal with the French club but stated that the right offer could initiate a move: “If people are talking about me then I am not aware of it. But if someone offers 12million to the club I do not know if I'll go or not.”

Arsene Wenger travelling across the English Channel to his home country France isn’t a big surprise but when the Arsenal manager makes that trip to convince a talented youngster to join the Premier League giants it definitely is news. The Metro reports that Wenger fly to Auxerre to sit down with the Ligue 2 club’s 20 year old striker Yaya Sanogo, whose contract expires at the end of the season thus prompting Wenger to discuss a pre-contract agreement.

Sanogo has rejected a contract offer from Auxerre, prompting Wenger to make the dash across Europe to ensure he was the first to the young striker’s signature. Arsenal have tracked the French U-21 star for an extended period, only for a broken leg to put off the transfer a couple of years ago.

Arsene Wenger has used the French Ligue 1 as his personal talent source during his long managerial career and the Arsenal boss is said to be keen on another talent shining brightly across the English Channel. Saint-Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been the rage in Ligue 1 as well as his home continent Africa, where he is dubiously called the ‘African Neymar’, possibly for his outrageous haircut alone.

The 23 year old Aubameyang does have plenty of talent to back up the showboating though as he has netted 25 times for Saint-Etienne in the last two seasons.

Reasonable isn’t a word often used when Roman Abramovich is the subject of discussion, as countless managers with impeccable credentials can attest to. But the Chelsea owner has been exactly that with regards to his biggest single investment- Fernando Torres. Ever since he gave the green light to bring Torres from Liverpool for £50m in 2011, the Russian has stood by the beleaguered Spaniard despite the wide-spread criticism and mockery of the one time great striker.

But the Express reckon that Abramovich’s patience with Torres has finally reached breaking point and the 28 year old looks set to be offloaded in the summer for a meager £15m as the Blues try to cut their losses after accepting defeat.

AC Milan were once renowned for their space-age medical centre which prolonged the careers of a golden generation at the club, inspiring countless imitations across Europe. But the Rossoneri have changed their course since last year, choosing to focus on young and emerging talent instead and one of the most prodigious talents on their books at the moment is 18 year old striker M’Baye Niang. The Frenchman turned down the advances of Arsenal and Everton to join Milan from French minnows Caen last summer

Niang has since signed a long-term contract until 2017 with the Italian giants but that that hasn’t stopped Chelsea from scouting the youngster, reports the Express. The Blues enjoyed a golden period with Didier Drogba leading the line with a unique mix of power and pace, a quality that they have dearly missed this season. Fernando Torres has been a lost cause ever since he arrived from Anfield and although Demba Ba has given them a semblance of dependency up-front, a fresh face is badly needed to spruce up the side.
