The national selectors have announced their squad to travel to the United Arab Emirates for the newly announced Desert T20, which will take place in January 2017.

The Desert T20 is set to feature eight of the top Associate nations, and is expected to be hosted in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in mid-January.

The Wallabies have escaped Murrayfield Stadium with a dramatic one-point victory over Scotland, keeping their Grand Slam hopes alive in a 23-22 cliffhanger.

A try to centre Tevita Kuridrani with five minutes left on the clock was the decisive play in the match, after a first half double from 22-year-old Scotland centre Huw Jones had the home side ahead 17-10 at the break.

Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has made just the one change to his starting side for the Test against Scotland at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Sunday morning (1.35am AEDT kick-off).

Will Genia goes straight into the starting side after returning to Qantas Wallabies camp this week after completing club duties with Stade Francais.

England's interim football manager Gareth Southgate has announced a 25-member squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Scotland and international friendly against Spain. The England football team is scheduled to meet Scotland on November 11 while the tie against Spain is on November 15.

Experienced goalkeeper Joe Hart, who has rediscovered his form at Italy's Serie A outfit Torino, is expected to retain his place in the starting XI. The 29-year-old will be keen to make amends for a disappointing campaign at the European Championships earlier this year when England crashed out following a defeat to vastly improved Iceland in the second round.

Cricket Scotland today confirmed the change of venues for the Intercontinental Cup (9-12 August) and World Cricket League Championship (14 and 16 August) fixtures against the United Arab Emirates.

The Intercontinental Cup tie will be contested at New Cambusdoon, Ayr Cricket Club and the two World Cricket League Championship fixtures will be played at Grange CC, Edinburgh.

Ajay Yadav and Varun Kumar scored a brace each as India’s junior men’s hockey team beat Scotland 5-1 in the second encounter of their UK tour at the Bisham Abbey Sports Centre in Marlow, England on Sunday.

Ajay scored both of his goals inside the first 30 minutes as India went into the half-time with a 2-0 lead. Set-piece specialist Varun latter converted a penalty stroke and a penalty corner to make it 4-0 before Gurjant Singh's field striker gave India a 5-0 victory.
