Cazorla to stay!

Arsenal ace playmaker Santi Cazorla has put to bed rumours of him wanting out of the Emirates by stating that he will continue at the club this season. The 29-year old is convinced about Arsenal’s ambitions and was quoted saying in the Metro, “I am staying, I’m very happy playing for Arsenal and the team now is more strong with the new players,’ he said. ‘I hope we win the trophy for the fans.”

Lovren confirmed as Liverpool player

A long drawn transfer saga has finally reached its climax as 24-year old centre-back Dejan Lovren has signed for Liverpool from Southampton. Liverpool announced the signing on their website on Sunday, and the transfer fee is believed to be in the region of £20 million.

Ogbonna back on Arsenal’s radar

Arsenal are looking to sign Juventus’ centre-back Angelo Ogbonna for around £9.5 million this summer after learning that the Bianconeri want to sell to make quick money, reports the Daily Star. 26-year old Ogbonna is seen by Wenger as the right backup centre-back to the likes of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, with the Gunners’ skipper Thomas Vermaelen desperately angling for a move away.

Vidal move back on

The Daily Mirror are suggesting that Manchester United’s move for Juventus ace Arturo Vidal could still be on this summer with the Red Devils’ new boss Louis Van Gaal set to take keen interest in negotiations with the Chilean. Van Gaal is ready to put in a fresh £35 million bid for the 27-year old.

Arsenal set to complete 3rd summer signing

BBC reports that Arsenal have reached an agreement with Southampton for signing their 19-year old right-back Calum Chambers. The Gunners have agreed to spend £16 million on the England youth international, who can also play at centre-back and as a midfielder. Chambers apparently underwent a medical at London Colney on Friday, ahead of his proposed move to the Emirates.

Liverpool agree fee for Lovren

Liverpool have finally managed to agree a £20 million with Southampton for Croatian centre-back Dejan Lovren, reports the Daily Mirror. Reds’ boss Brendan Rodgers believes that the 24-year old could be an upgrade on 33-year old Kolo Toure.

Wenger turns towards Casillas

Despite rumours suggesting that Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign  Colombian goalie David Ospina, the Daily Express reports that Arsene Wenger is close to striking a deal for Real Madrid ace Iker Casillas. Casillas will reportedly be offered a 5-year contract worth £7 million.

Will Cech move?

Chelsea’s veteran 32-year old goalie Petr Cech has told his management that he is not willing to be a backup for 22-year old starlet Thibaut Courtois, reports the Daily Mirror. The Czech international has not spoken of leaving the club if he is forced to become second choice at Stamford Bridge, but there have been murmurs that he could consider a switch.

Inside Futbol are reporting that Italian giants AC Milan could step up their chase for 22-year old Arsenal forward Joel Campbell, who drew plenty of attention with his performances at the World Cup. Some unfounded reports suggest that Arsene Wenger could be open to cashing in on the developing Costa Rican hitman.

Mourinho wants to keep Cech

Chelsea’s boss Jose Mourinho might have brought back his goalkeeper prodigy Thibaut Courtois from loan to be the No.1 at Stamford Bridge, but he has still not lost faith in his long term goalkeeping star Petr Cech, reports the Daily Mail. The Portuguese wants Cech to stay as a support man for Courtois and play a different kind of role in the squad to the one he has playing over the last 10 years.

The Daily Mail has dropped a bomb like transfer news by claiming that Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi wanted to move to Arsenal! The Argentine ace reportedly enquired about the possibility of moving to the Emirates last season as he was unsure of his future at the Camp Nou. The 27-year old though has sorted his contract issues with Barca, and now looks a more settled man.

No Benatia for English giants

Roma will not sell their ace centre-back Mehdi Benatia to the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham this summer. The Italian club’s manager Rudi Garcia confirmed their stand on the 27-year old as he was quoted saying in the Metro, “For me, it’s clear. He’s under contract and he will be a Roma player this season.”

Wenger ready to strike double deal!

The Daily Star reports some more exciting news for Arsenal fans as their manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be set to beat the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea to the signing of 15-year old West Ham starlet Reece Oxford. On the senior team front, Wenger is also confident of landing his long term target Lars Bender from Bayer Leverkusen for £16 million.

Tottenham’s bid rejected

Tottenham’s £15 million bid for Real Sociedad forward Antoine Griezmann has been rejected, according to reports from the Daily Mail. Sociedad want the full amount of his £25 million buyout clause and are possibly waiting for bigger clubs such as Chelsea and PSG to make a move.
