Podolski exit rumours refuse to die down

Another day and another rumour linking Lukas Podolski with an Arsenal exit. This time it is the turn of German tabloid Bild, who claim that the 29 year old could be headed to Wolfsburg after the Bundesliga club declared an interest in the attacker. To add fuel to fire, Podolski has been left out of Arsenal’s trip to Everton on Saturday, which could only mean one thing in the world of transfer rumours.

Arsenal still in the race to sign Greek defender

The on-again, off-again transfer of Kostas Manolas to Arsenal has been re-ignited according to Goal.com, who claim that representatives of the Greek centre-back were in London on Friday to dish out a deal with the Gunners. The 23 year old Olympiakos defender could cost even less than the initially quoted £8m fee, which would be a bargain purchase for Arsene Wenger in his attempt to replace Thomas Vermaelen.

Pardew confident Tiote will stay at Newcastle

Newcastle United Manager Alan Pardew has dismissed rumours that Ivorian midfielder Cheikh Tiote could be leaving the Magpies to join Arsenal this summer. Pardew declared that Newcastle had received "a couple of derisory bids" for the 28 year old midfielder and told the Daily Telegraph, “I’m confident Cheick will still be here next month. We’ve not really entertained any serious thought of him leaving. I’ve had no indication from him that he wants to go.”
