Basement dwellers Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ended their disappointing Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign with a 10-run win over sixth-placed Delhi Daredevils in an inconsequential contest at the Ferozeshah Kotla on Sunday night.

Captain Virat Kohli (58; 45b; 3x4, 3x6) shared a 66-run second-wicket stand with West Indian Chris Gayle (48; 38b; 3x3, 3x6) as Bangalore reached 161/6 in 20 overs. Delhi were bowled out for 151 in 19.5 overs, losing by 10 runs to finish sixth.

Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine's big hitting helped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) sweep aside out-of-sorts Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by six wickets in a rain-interrupted Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.

It was a surprise when Narine came out to open the batting with the fit-again Lynn instead of in-form skipper Gautam Gambhir but the West Indian who has been doing the job at the top of the order for KKR this season vindicated the team management's faith in him. Pursuing RCB's 158/4, KKR romped home with 159/4 in 15.1 overs riding on a 105-run stand by Narine (54; 17b 6x4 4x6) and Lynn (50; 22b 5x4 4x6) in just 6.1 overs at a run rate of 17.02.

After registering their eighth win from 10 games to go atop the Indian Premier League (IPL) table, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma on Monday said he wants his team to approach each game "ruthlessly".

Rohit stared with a 37-ball 56 in Mumbai's five-wicket thrashing of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a league encounter at the Wankhede Stadium here. With the win, the home side also sealed their berth in the IPL play-offs.

Conceding that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are virtually out of the race for the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) play-offs, courtesy another pathetic batting display, skipper Virat Kohli on Saturday said the team can only learn from such experiences.

Any hopes Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had of qualifying for the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) play-offs virtually ended after they lost by 61 runs to Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Saturday.

The 2017 edition of the IPL has been a disappointing one for the Bangalore franchise, losing seven of their 10 outings so far to be virtually knocked out of the race to the play-offs. Pune, on the other hand kept their play-off dreams alive to stay at the fourth spot after registering their fifth win from nine matches.
