The striker merry-go-round in the post-season promises to be an eventful one if the rumours are to be believed and central to the whole plot is one Radamel Falcao. The Colombian hitman is being actively chased by Manchester City and Chelsea in the Premier League and the future destination of the Atletico Madrid striker will decide plenty of other transfers.

Chelsea are likely to offload Fernando Torres in the summer and the Spaniard received a call for redemption from Atletico’s manager Diego Simeone over the weekend as the Argentine said this about Torres to the Daily Mail: “Right now Fernando's playing for another team and we will have to wait until the end of the season, and we have to decide which players could come here.” Torres has been given plenty of opportunities to regain his old touch but he has failed to grasp them and the end is nigh for Britain's most expensive buy.

Mario Balotelli is now officially an AC Milan player after the Italian striker completed his 19 million pound switch from Manchester City. Balotelli passed a medical on Wednesday and has now signed a four and a half year deal with the Serie A giants.

The Italy International is known more for his off the field antics than his heroics on the football pitch. A life-long Milan fan, Balotelli has now put pen to paper and moved to his dream club. City signed Mario for 24 million pounds from Inter Milan, and now the deal looks to have caused a deficit of 5 million pounds for the blue half of Manchester.

Last season, he played a huge part in Manchester City’s title winning league campaign, but the Italian seems to have lost his mojo in front of the goal. The 22-year-old netted just 3 goals in 20 league appearances for the reigning English champions.

Carlos Tevez and transfer rumours are likes peas in a pod, two entities that nature intended to co-exist. But the last 12 months have been marked by a sharp downturn in the Tevez rumour business and the Manchester City striker, realizing the plight of the gossip columns, has finally blessed one and all with a juicy titbit. The Argentine had admitted his fondness for his childhood club Boca Juniors for the umpteenth, telling ESPN that he would love to play under Carlos Bianchi.

Tevez’s tenure at City has been plagued with controversies. Last season he famously spent months holidaying with his family in Argentine after being cast aside by Roberto Mancini for refusing to come off the bench against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Mancini did go back on his word though, bringing the striker back into the squad just as City’s title challenge seemed to be collapsing and it worked wonders as the Argentine International led his team to the Premier League title with an inspirational comeback.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is still hopeful that his team can catch arch rivals Manchester United in the title race, reports the Guardian. The Italian thinks that a deficit of “4 or 5 points” can be overcome after the Manchester Derby on April 6. The reigning champions are currently 7 points behind Manchester United.

Speaking to the Guardian Roberto Mancini said, “United are a really strong team. In this moment they play very well. But the season is long. It's important for us to be there, close with them, and we will arrive the moment they lose points. We're under pressure maybe but everything can change.

English Champions Manchester City are looking to steal Chelsea transfer target, David Villa away from Barcelona. This promises to be a big bidding war as both the English clubs seem desperate to land the 31 year old striker. Although Villa's current employers Barcelona have stated that they wish to keep Villa atleast till the end of the season, there is good reason to believe that Villa could well be on his way out of the Camp Nou this winter.

Barcelona are 9 points clear at the top of the La Liga table and unless something dramatic happens, they look strong favourites to regain the title, especially with their main competitors Real Madrid 16 points adrift in 3rd place in the standings.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini could make a surprise move for Chelsea's rebel left-back Ashley Cole according to The Daily Mail. 31 year old Cole is in the final six months of his contract with the European champions Chelsea and with the Blues unable to tie him down to a contract thus far, a move looks imminent.

One cannot be certain that Cole will leave for City in January though as Chelsea maybe reluctant to sell Cole to English opposition and particularly a title rival such as Manchester City. Mancini though is reportedly keeping a close eye on the situation and believes that Cole will be a better opton in his team at left-back ahead of Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov.
