Scoring continued to be tough at the Usha Army Ladies and Juniors Golf 2012, but Aditi Ashok turned in a four-over 76 to move into a share of the lead with overnight leader Mehar Atwal on Tuesday. Aditi and Mehar are now at 12-over 156 and one shot ahead of third placed Gursimar Badwal (77) who is at 157.

The only other player to score in the 70s on the second day was Amandeep Drall (81-79) who is also very much in contention for the title at 160.

Amandeep Drall surprised her better known rivals to register the best card of the day at one-over 73 on the opening day of the Usha Southern India Ladies at the KGA Bengaluru on Tuesday. Amandeep, 19, who won the two-day strokeplay segment of the All India Amateur late last year, was one ahead of Gurbani Singh and Millie Saroha, who carded 74 each.

Another stroke behind in fourth place was Aditi Ashok (75) and Raksha Phadke (76) was lying fifth. Defending champion Mehar Atwal (77) was sixth and Gauri Monga (78) was seventh.
