Manchester United and Tottenham kept up the reputation of their clashes in the past with a four-goal thriller at White Hart Lane that in reality didn’t do either side a great deal of good. Tottenham broke free of the shackles that has pinned down their manager Andre Villas-Boas this past by taking the lead through a Kyle Walker free-kick on 18 minutes. But the defender was at fault when inexplicably gifted Wayne Rooney the equalizer just after the half-hour mark.
A see-saw game then titled back in the favour of the home side when Sandro struck a stunning goal from distance on 54 minutes. Again, the lead lasted only for a short while as United hitback through a Rooney penalty three minutes later, with Hugo Lloris bringing down Danny Welbeck to hand the spot-kick. The stalemate leaves United in 8th , Spurs in 9th and AVB with a job.
