The semi-finals of the Djarum Indonesia Open brought mixed fortunes for the Indian shuttlers. Kashyap Parupalli was knocked out of the tournament but Saina won her match to advance to the women's singles final. Saina continued to build good momentum in the run up to the Olympics by beating world no.4 Ji Hyun Sung from Korea 22-20, 21-18 in a tightly contested match. Indonesia's Simon Santoso though made easy work of Kashyap, handing the Indian a 21-15, 21-12 defeat. Saina will be square-off against China's Xuerui Li in tomorrow's final. |
