After guiding Rising Pune Supergiant to a thrilling last ball six wicket win against defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad here on Saturday, former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni said the key to successful run chases is staying "calm".

Dhoni, who blasted a 34-ball unbeaten 61 to take his side home on the final ball of the innings, said he doesn't take pressure of the mounting asking rate and its only about how the opposition bowlers execute and how the batsmen seize the advantage.

India's outgoing skipper for the limited overs team Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Friday said he changed his position in the batting order according to the team's requirement.

Dhoni recently stepped down from captaincy of One-Day International and T20 International teams. He also said he is ready to change his batting order again "if the team wants me to do".

Paying rich tributes to his predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni, newly-appointed skipper Virat Kohli on Saturday revealed that the Ranchi wicketkeeper-batsman saved him on numerous occasions from getting dropped from the national cricket team.

The 28-year-old, who took over the mantle of the Indian side, said the 35-year-old Dhoni guided him during his initial phase in international cricket, while conceding that he has big shoes to fill.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has stepped down as skipper of India's limited overs sides, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Wednesday.

Dhoni, however, will be available for selection for the three-match One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International series against England, starting January 15.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Thursday backed limited overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni to bat at the No.4 position while disagreeing that the team is too dependent on star batsman Virat Kohli.

"Let him play at number four. He will finish from there. Finisher does not mean he has to bat from the 40th over," Ganguly said. "Virat (Kohli) bats at three and he is finishing games. It's a wrong concept that a finisher has to come lower down the order. Dhoni got India over the ropes in the other match batting at four."

India's celebrated skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Wednesday was named the captain of reputed cricket magazine Wisden's all-time India Test XI.

The team, which was announced to mark India's 500th Test match starting on Thursday against New Zealand in Kanpur, includes former Test skipper Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag as openers.
