The International Cricket Council today inducted Glenn McGrath into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame during the lunch interval of the third Test match between Australia and Sri Lanka in Sydney.

McGrath becomes the 68th male member of the Hall of Fame and joins fellow 2012-13 inductees West Indian Brian Lara and England’s Enid Bakewell in being recognized by the ICC and the living members of the Hall of Fame.

Cricket Ireland became the first Member of the ICC to finalise a Targeted Assistance and Performance Programme ("TAPP") agreement this week in Dubai, guaranteeing a significant increase in the performance support that will be provided through to 2015.

Cricket Ireland is one of five ICC Members to have been awarded funding under this new targeted initiative which is aimed at developing more competitive teams at the highest levels of international cricket.

The USD $1.5 million award will be used to help Cricket Ireland launch an elite domestic competition structure; create an academy system for the further development of talented cricketers and facilitate fixtures against Full Member countries.

Oztam's TV viewership and sport data has revealed that cricket is the most watched sport on TV in Australia. Over 9.6 million people tuned into international cricket for five or more minutes and astonishingly over 18.4 million people watched at least some international cricket on TV nationally.

The viewer data (metro and regional combined) is from the past 12 months across Free To Air TV (FTA) and included all major sports.

Australian cricket today authorised the most significant changes to Cricket Australia's governance since the organisation was set up in 1905, setting CA on a path towards having a fully independent Board of nine Directors by 2017.

Today's CA Annual General Meeting voted for constitutional and by-law changes, and also elected Jacquie Hey, David Peever and Kevin Roberts as CA's first independent Directors.
