The war of words being Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte and his predecessor in the role Jose Mourinho seems to be heating up with the former Italian superstar once again lashing out at the former 'Special One'.

Conte, whose Chelsea side were held to a 3-3 draw by AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, said in an interview after the game, "A lot of time Mourinho has to see what happens at Chelsea... A lot of time, also last season, I think he has to think about his team and stop, to look at himself, not the others."

Chelsea's search for the ideal midfield partner for N'Golo Kante took the Premier League Champions to the doorstep of their French counterparts Monaco this summer, and the Blues have successfully completed the capture of 22-year-old French international Tiemoue Bakayoko in what is believed to be a £40m deal.

Bakayoko has signed a five-year deal with the Blues and was unsurprisingly delighted with his move to the English capital. The young midfielder shared at his unveiling, "I am very happy to be here and to join this great team. I have grown up watching Chelsea. Signing was the natural thing for me because it is a club I loved very much in my childhood. I am now looking forward to evolving under this fantastic coach and alongside so many great team-mates."

Former Liverpool coach Michael Beale has announced his resignation as assistant manager of Brazilian Serie A club Sao Paulo. The Englishman's decision came less than seven months after he accepted the job as Rogerio Ceni's right hand man.

"The decision was made for personal reasons that will remain private between me and the club's administration," Beale said in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Chelsea football club announced the signing of goalkeeper Willy Caballero, who spent the last three seasons at Manchester City. Chelsea on Saturday confirmed the signing in a statement on its website but did not specify the duration or value of the contract inked with the 35-year-old Argentine goalkeeper.

"I am very happy to join Chelsea, the champions of England. I am looking forward to meeting the guys and helping the club achieve more success in the coming season," Caballero said.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has extended his contract for three seasons, the French football club announced on Saturday.

The renewal of the 23-year-old Brazilian's contract came after the contract extension of Uruguayan Edinson Cavani and Brazilian Thiago Silva, until 2020, and Frenchman Presnel Kimpembe, until 2021.

In what is a club-record transfer, English Premier League (EPL) side AFC Bournemouth has roped in young defender Nathan Ake from Chelsea.

"I had a great time here last season so I'm really happy to be back," Ake told the club's official website.

Former England international Scott Parker has decided to call time on his almost 19-year professional football career, it was announced in a statement. The 36-year-old plied his trade for Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle, as well as played 18 times for England, which he captained in 2012.

"I have enjoyed so many incredible moments during my career," Parker wrote in the statement.
