Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has said the Spanish footbtall club's home ground, the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, would not be available for the King's Cup final. The final will be played between FC Barcelona and Deportivo Alaves on May 27.

Perez said on Thursday the final could not be played in Real Madrid's ground, which is the largest neutral ground available for the game "because there's work going on ... there's no other issue".

There were three red cards and tension from start to finish as FC Barcelona clung to a 1-1 draw at home with Atletico Madrid to assure their fourth King's Cup final appearance in four years.

Sergi Roberto and Luis Suarez were sent off for Barca while Yannick Carrasco got his marching orders for Atletico as Barca made good on their 2-1 win from the first leg against a rival who were the better side on Tuesday night.

First half goals from Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi gave FC Barcelona a 2-1 win away to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their King's Cup semi-final at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.

Barcelona dominated the first half of the game here on Wednesday, but rode their luck in the second half as Atletico pressed for an equalising goal after Antoine Griezmann had headed them back into the tie with 30 minutes remaining.

Ahead of the first leg of the Copa del Rey football semi-finals against Barcelona on Wednesday, Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has decided to go with an attacking line by including Yannick Carrasco and Antoine Griezmann for the tie.

Both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have injury problems to deal with ahead of their respective Spanish football league matches on Sunday.

Barcelona have to recover quickly from their efforts in Thursday's King's Cup triumph over Real Sociedad, while coach Luis Enrique will also have half an eye on next Wednesday's semi-final away against Atletico Madrid as he prepares for the trip to play Real Betis in Seville. Betis are unbeaten in their four home games to date since Victor Sanchez took over as coach and the Benito Villamarin Stadium has traditionally been a hostile place for Barcelona to visit.
