Serie A champions Juventus were left frustrated after being held to a goalless draw by Spanish football club Sevilla in their Champions League Group H game at the Juventus stadium in Turin.

Juventus created chances galore but failed to find the killer goal. They came closest when Gonzalo Higuain's header from Dani Alves's right-wing cross bounced off the crossbar in the second half. Goalkeeper Sergio Rico made some stupendous saves towards the end to give Sevilla a valuable point against one of the tournament favourites.

French midfielder Blaise Matuidi's agent Mino Raiola has revealed that the Euro 2016 runner-up is "very disappointed" at seeing a move to Italian football champions Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain fall through.

Juventus were linked with a move for the France midfielder as a replacement for his international teammate Paul Pogba, who joined Manchester United for a world-record transfer fee.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has dismissed media reports that suggested that chief coach Antonio Conte asked him to leave the London football club and insisted that he still has a role to play.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder has failed to secure a prominent role in Conte's Chelsea side during the opening couple of weeks of the season, fuelling rumours of a transfer.

English football club West Ham United on Sunday confirmed the signing of Italy striker Simone Zaza from Juventus on loan with obligation to buy for 25 million euros ($27.9 million) plus bonuses.

"The 25-year-old forward joins the Hammers for an initial 5 million euros ($5.59 million) loan fee, with a permanent fee of 20 million euros ($22.3 million) automatically triggered after a certain number of English Premier League appearances this season, plus a further 3 million euros ($3.35 million) in contingent payments," West Ham said in a statement.

English football club Watford presented their last two signings, Argentine midfielder Roberto Pereyra and French defender Younes Kaboul to their fans today, during their clash against Chelsea at Vicarage Road.

A total of 20,000 supporters on Saturday welcomed Pereyra and Kaboul, who arrived from Juventus and Sunderland respectively.

Striker Alvaro Morata, who was presented as a Real Madrid footballer by club president Florentino Perez on Monday, said he is "here to give his all for the reigning European champions.

Real Madrid paid 30 million euros ($33 million) for a buyback option to re-sign 23-year-old Morata from Italian champions Juventus, with whom the Spaniard played for two seasons.

Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that the Italian football champions are interested in Boca Juniors midfilder Rodrigo Bentancur. The 19-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan in recent weeks, but the Vincenzo Montella-coached side now faces a stiff competition from Massimiliano Allegri's managed Juventus for the youngster's services.

"Yes, we are interested in Bentancur as well," Marotta was quoted as saying by Corriere dello Sport on Sunday.
