Cricket Australia’s National Selection Panel has named a 14-player One-Day International and 13-player T20 International squad respectively for the Tour of India which will take place between 17 September and 13 October.

The South Africa A team are ready to take on India A in the second and last four-day match in Potchefstroom on Saturday. The home side are one-nil up in the two-match series after an emphatic, 235-run win in Pretoria on Tuesday.

Captain, Aiden Markram is looking forward to seeing a strong final push from his team as they look to wrap up the series at Senwes Park Stadium.

It took just 25 minutes for Junior Dala to dispatch the required four wickets for the Powerade South Africa A team to win the first Cricket South Africa (CSA) Four-Day match against India A by 235 runs at Assupol Tuks Oval in Pretoria on Tuesday. The fast bowler finished with remarkable figures of 5/36 in his 10.1-over spell.

The visitors were 192/6 at stumps of Day Three, needing 255 runs to win. Dala made quick work of the remaining batsmen, who could only add 19 to the scoreboard before they were bowled out for 211.

Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Lokesh Rahul have attained career-high positions in the ICC Test Player Rankings after figuring in an important partnership that helped India defeat Sri Lanka by an innings and 171 runs to complete a 3-0 rout of the home side.

Left-hander Dhawan, who top-scored with 119 in in the final Test in Pallekele, has moved up 10 places to 28th position after India won inside three days on Monday. This was the Delhi batsman’s second century in three Tests as he finished with 358 runs and was named player of the series.

South Africa A team were in control at stumps of Day Three of the first Cricket South Africa (CSA) Four-Day match against India A at Assupol Tuks Oval on Monday.

Picking up from their overnight score off 66 not out, they extended their lead to 447 after they declared on 220/5 an hour after lunch. Captain, Aiden Markram and Rudi Second top scored with 79 and 74 runs respectively, after the early loss of Stephen Cook in the first session on 32. David Miller was the last notable contributor with the bat, making a good cameo when he struck a 29-ball 27, including two boundaries and a six.

Stephen Cook and David Miller shared a 138-run, third-wicket partnership to help the Powerade South Africa A team to a solid 274/4 at stumps of Day One of the first four-day match in the two-match series at Assupol Tuks Oval in Pretoria on Saturday.

Opening batsman, Cook top scored with an excellent 120 from 252 balls (eight fours), while Miller struck a 115-ball 78 including 10 boundaries after the hosts won the toss and elected to bat first on a wicket that was a challenge to both sides.

South Africa ‘A’ coach Shukri Conrad admits they are not dwelling on their One-Day Triangular series final loss to India ‘A’ earlier this week and are instead, focussed on the two four-day games starting at the Assupol Tuks Oval in Pretoria on Saturday.

The hosts suffered a seven-wicket loss in the final, which came after a solid overall campaign and the vastly changed side are now looking to bounce back against the visitors.
