Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp had mixed feelings after watching his side battle to a 1-1 draw against Premier League title challengers Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Saturday evening.

The excitable German saw his side take the lead in the 51st minute through a fantastic goal by Philippe Coutinho, only for Harry Kane's 22nd goal of an incredible season, cancel out the advantage 12 minutes later.

A point gained or two points dropped, is the question that all Tottenham fans are asking themselves after Spurs picked up a well deserved draw away to Liverpool to leave themselves 4 points shy of Leicester City, who play their game in hand against Southampton tomorrow.

After being outplayed for much of the first half, Tottenham put in a performance worthy of champions, with Harry Kane's 63rd minute strike cancelling out Philippe Coutinho's goal, early in the second half.

Chelsea’s downfall this season is something that not many (correction: NONE) of our able football pundits could have predicted last summer. And while Guus Hiddink’s arrival has certainly helped considerably in their resurgence in the past few months, they are still not the same side that stamped their authority over the English top flight last season.

Nevertheless, in the midst of it all, the last thing a Chelsea fan would wish to see is one of their most consistent players jumping ship. However, that’s exactly what seems to be the case now, with the Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel having come out and spoken of his restlessness at the club.

North London giants Tottenham Hotspur brought the gap between themselves and league leaders Leicester City down to 5 points once again with a convincing 3-0 demolition of AFC Bournemouth at White Hart Lane. A couple of early goals from Harry Kane all but sealed the contest in the opening 20 minutes itself before Christian Eriksen made sure of the points for Spurs with a goal early in the second half to kill any hope Bournemouth might have had of a fightback.

Tottenham made five changes to the side that was dumped out of the Europa League in midweek by Borussia Dortmund with all their regular starters restored, once again going back to their strongest available eleven with the same side taking the field that beat Aston Villa last weekend. Bournemouth meanwhile made just one change to the side that beat Swansea in a 5-goal thriller last week, with Harry Arter replacing the injured Dan Gosling.

Tottenham Hotspur moved within 2 points of Premier League leaders Leicester City, and increased the gap between themselves and local neighbours Arsenal to 6, courtesy of a 2-0 win away to bottom of the table Aston Villa on Sunday night.

A brace from the irrepressible Harry Kane, and a couple of assists too for the undoubted young player of the season Dele Alli earned Spurs a comfortable win in a match they dominated until perhaps the last 10 minutes.

The battle between the second best teams in Germany and England at present went comfortably the way of Borussia Dortmund as they brushed aside the challenge of an under-strength Tottenham Hotspur side 3-0 at the Westfalenstadion.

A brilliant header from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the half hour mark gave Dortmund a deserved lead as they had put Spurs through their paces in the early exchanges and had a goal ruled out as well for offside.

Tottenham Hotpsur missed their chance to go top of the Premier League standings as they suffered a shock 1-0 defeat away to West Ham United, with winger Michail Antonio continuing his excellent form at Upton Park, heading home from close range in the 7th minute.

Spurs could have replaced Leicester City at the top of the Premier League with a win today, but were never really at the races in the first half, though their skipper Hugo Lloris probably should have done better to keep out Antonio's header from an early West Ham corner.
