Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara has said that Wednesday's match against Atletico Madrid has nothing to do with revenge for the defeat and exit in last season's Champions League semi-final, pointing out it is a different football game.

"No, we're not thinking about that. It's a different game. It's a group-stage game so will be less emotional than a semi-final," the 25-year-old Spaniard said, according to his club's official website on Monday.

German football club Hamburger SV announced on Sunday the dismissal of head coach Bruno Labbadia after losing four games and drawing in one during the first five weeks of the Bundesliga.

The club said in a statement that Labbadia's assistants, Eddy Sozer and Bernhard Trares, were fired as well, and confirmed that it will announce the name of the new coach this week.

German football giants Bayern Munich have offered their Polish striker Robert Lewandowski a new contract till 2021 according to German magazine Sport Bild. The new deal is expected to make Lewandowski the club's highest paid player.

Lewandowski's potential salary will exceed that of Thomas Muller, estimated to be around 14 million euros per year.
