Leicester city goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is set to join striker Jamie Vardy as the club's highest-paid footballer as he has been reportedly offered a five-year £100,000 per week contract.

The 2015-16 English Premier League (EPL) winner is close to agreeing to the financial deal that kept Vardy at the club, although the former Manchester City goalkeeper has been offered a five-year contract compared to Vardy's four, according to Daily Mail.

Premier League side Everton has signed Senegal midfielder Idrissa Gueye from recently relegated Aston Villa for £7.1 million on a four-year contract.

26 year old Gueye is Manager Ronald Koeman's second signing since the Dutchman arrived from Southampton to replace the sacked Roberto Martinez in June. Gueye moved to Villa from French club Lille last year and made 38 appearances in all competitions as Villa were relegated from the Premier League.

Chelsea are preparing an improved offer for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku as the Belgian gets closer to rejoining the capital football club, according to press reports.

The Mirror revealed that Chelsea are ready to offer up to £68 million for the 23-year-old after a £57 million bid was rejected. That bid though may not be enough either with Everton reportedly holding firm that they will only sell the young Belgian if they receive an offer in the region of £75 million.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has hinted that star striker Diego Costa could be heading towards the exit door this summer.

The Italian boss was quoted telling reporters after his side’s 3-2 loss to Real Madrid in their pre-season friendly: “I can say that today Costa is a Chelsea player... Tomorrow if you ask me if Costa will remain with us, I don’t know.”

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte seems to have become desperate to strengthen his strike force even further this summer, with reports in The Daily Mirror revealing that the Blues are set to table a £68m bid to re-acquire the services of Everton ace Romelu Lukaku.

The west London giants have already had a £57m offer for the Belgian rejected by the Toffees, with Ronald Koeman’s side known to be unwilling to part ways with him unless they are paid at least £75m for the player, for whom they paid just £28m two summers ago!

Merseyside giants Everton are understood to have become unsure of succeeding in holding on to star forward Romelu Lukaku, with reports in The Daily Mirror revealing that the club are now open to the prospect of letting him move back to former side Chelsea this summer.

However, the report also mentions that the Toffees will look to pocket at least £75m from the sale of the Belgian in the weeks to come, after having already rejected the west Londoners’ opening bid of £57m for him!

Chelsea have been boosted in their pursuit of their former player, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, with reports in The Sun revealing that the player is now willing to move to Stamford Bridge once again, this time to work under new manager Antonio Conte.

It is reported that the Belgian ace has told his friends and close aides that he has ‘unfinished business’ at the west London side, and that he is keen to join the club once again.
