FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has reportedly agreed to a new contract which will see his earnings increase to 30 million euros ($33.7 million) a year after tax, with a buyout clause which will rise from 250 million euros ($281 million) to 400 million euros ($450 million).

Spanish radio station Cadena Ser reported in the early hours of Wednesday morning that the Argentinean superstar has agreed to a three-year deal which will see him stay with the Catalan football giants until the summer of 2021.

Manchester United may have to shell out more than $90.69 million (70 million pounds) to acquire any of the two strikers Andrea Belotti of Torino or Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid, according to a report.

With veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic not expected to return from injury till January, Jose Mourinho is determined to get the club's first major bit of summer business done by bringing in a striker and he has reportedly shown interest in these two players, The Independent reported on Thursday.

Having joined Manchester City on a six-year deal, Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson Moraes is looking forward to a successful stint with the former English Premier League (EPL) champions.

Manchester City announced on Thursday that they have signed the former Brazil U-23 player from Portuguese club Benfica on a six-year contract. He will start training with the squad on July 1. Benfica had announced last week that they had agreed to the transfer deal for a fee of $44.9 million.

Everton's star striker Romelu Lukaku has asserted that staying at the city-based football club next season is not an option and he is exploring possibilities to move to a more reputed club in England.

"Staying at Everton is not really an option for next season. There is nothing concrete with another club at the moment. My agent (Mino Raiola) is busy discussing things. I'm not going to make big declarations about my future," Lukaku was quoted as saying by on Tuesday.

Manchester City's unsettled Spanish forward Nolito, citing his failure to adapt to life in the UK, says he is on the verge of quitting the English football club.

The former Celta Vigo forward's spell at the Ethiad Stadium got off to a positive start as the side, coached by Pep Guardiola, won their first 10 games of the season with Nolito one of their standout performers. But as the season progressed, City's performances dropped off and so did those of the forward.

English football giants Manchester United's bid of £52 million ($67.6 million) for Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata has been rejected, a media report said on Wednesday.

Sky Sports reported that United goalkeeper David de Gea was not included in the offer, while Real Madrid are thought to want in the region of £78 million ($100.66 million) for the 24-year-old Morata. The Spain international has scored 20 goals in all competitions for Real last season, as the club clinched La Liga and the Champions League.

Manchester United winger Anthony Martial's agent has said the Frenchman has "no reason" to leave the English football club despite not being a regular member of the starting XI last season.

Martial had made 32 English Premier League (EPL) appearances under previous United chief coach Louis van Gaal netting 11 times to finish as the club's leading scorer. However, the former Monaco player's progress was stunted following the arrival of Jose Mourinho last summer.
