Delhi Daredevils rode on some clinical hitting from Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson to thrash Gujarat Lions by seven wickets in a high-scoring Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Ferozeshah Kotla here on Thursday.

Chasing a mammoth 209, the left-right combo of Pant (97) and Samson (61) plundered the Gujarat bowlers all over the park to raise a 143-run stand of mere 63 balls to overhaul the target with 15 balls to spare.

Rising Pune Supergiant rode on little-known Rahul Tripathi's career-best 93 of 52 balls to win, by four wickets, an Indian Premier League (IPL) engagement against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday and take giant strides towards the playoffs.

Pune, now on 14 points from 11 games, moved to third spot with KKR staying on second with the same number of points as Pune from 11 outings. Replying to KKR's 155/8, Pune scored 158/6 in 19.2 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper David Warner termed playing away from the home seems to be a little bogey for them referring to their only fourth away loss in the Indian Premier League (IPL), this time against Delhi Daredevils by six wickets at the Ferozeshah Kotla Ground.

On Tuesday, Sunrisers failed to defend their mammoth 185/3 against a collective effort from the young Delhi boys, who ensured their team stayed alive in the race to the play-offs.

Delhi Daredevils kept their chances of qualifying for the Indian Premier League (IPL) play-offs alive after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets at the Ferozeshah Kotla on Tuesday.

On paper, it was a mismatch between Daredevils and Sunrisers but the hosts put on a collective batting effort to register a win with five balls to spare. With their third win in the tournament, Delhi moved up to the sixth spot with six points while Hyderabad are still at the third spot with 13 points after their fourth away loss in the tournament.

A Ben Stokes-inspired Rising Pune Supergiant will pull out all stops in their bid to consolidate the play-offs spot when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) face-off at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday.

Stokes, the most expensive player in the 10th edition of the cash-rich league, smashed an unbeaten 63-ball 103 to pull Pune out of a hole at 10/3 chasing 162 for victory and help script a five-wicket win over Gujarat Lions on Monday.

Dashing Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) opening batsman Chris Lynn could be seen in action soon, according to his teammate Colin de Grandomme on Tuesday.

The Queenslander hit the nets for the first time on the eve of KKR's game against Rising Pune Supergiant more than three weeks after injuring his left shoulder while attempting a catch during the match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on April 9.
