French midfielder Moussa Sissoko has said he joined Tottenham Hotspur football club over Everton because he feels he can win the English Premier League (EPL) title with the north London side. Sissoko moved to Tottenham from Newcastle, joining for a club-record 30 million pounds ($39.7 million) just before the summer transfer window closed on 31st August.

The Frenchman turned down advances from Everton in order to move to north London and vowed to "fight every day" to win over the Tottenham fans.

Tottenham Hotspur's versatile defensive midfielder Eric Dier signed a new contract on Tuesday that will keep him at the English football club until 2021.

The 22-year-old joined Tottenham from Sporting Lisbon for just four million pounds in August 2014 on a five-year contract. His transformation from a versatile defender, who debuted at right back, played at centre back and now is the lynch pin of the side's midfield has seen him make 91 appearances for the club, whilst also chipping in with an impressive six goals.

English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are planning to host both English Premier League football and National Football League (NFL) gridiron matches on the same day when they move into their new 61,000-seater stadium.

Tottenham have a 10-year agreement to host a minimum of two NFL games a year at their new home, which they are scheduled to move into ahead of the 2018-19 season, according to an ESPNFC report.

English football club Tottenham Hotspur has officially announced the renewal of Danish international midfielder Christian Eriksen contract until June 2020.

Eriksen, 24, who came to London in August 2013 from Ajax, will continue to play for Tottenham over the next four years, reports Efe.

Unsurprisingly opposition Managers Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino had deferring views on the non-award of a penalty to Liverpool for what Klopp felt was an obvious transgression by Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen.

Lashing out at the Referee after watching his side drop what looked like three certain points at White Hart Lane, Klopp said, "If the referee waits one second then it is 100 per cent a penalty, do we have to make the corner quicker? Ask him what the rules are. We go there (to Burnley) and it is a penalty and today not. I have no idea what is right. I would prefer he said nothing and watched the situation and then it is penalty."

Liverpool were unfortunate to leave North London without all three points for the second time in three weeks as they outplayed Tottenham Hotspur for large periods, but had to settle for a share of the spoils, held to a 1-1 draw.

The Reds dominated the first half and should have taken the lead where Roberto Firmino unselfishly setup his Brazilian compatriot Coutinho for an easy finish, but the man who scored two goals against Arsenal in Liverpool's season opener at the Emirates scuffed his effort allowing Michel Vorm in the Spurs goal to make a very good save.
