Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho may not be the biggest promoter of young players; however, the boss certainly seems to be eager to shrug off that perception that we have about him. According to reports in The Daily Mail, the Special One has now shortlisted Sheffield United youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a potential signing for the club this summer.

It is reported that the Red Devils may agree to splash out as much as £1m for the highly rated teenager, who is also believed to be on the radar of a number of Championship sides apart from Merseyside giants Everton.

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger’s search for a good (and certainly cheap) striker has now brought him to Spain, with reports in The Daily Mail revealing that the club are set to tussle with Everton for the signature of Deportivo La Coruna forward Lucas Perez.

It is believed that the 27 year old, who is yet to play at any level for his country, has a £16.9m release clause in his contract with his club – one that both the aforementioned English sides are more than happy to meet.

Everton is currently negotiating with Porto for the transfer of Algerian international Yacine Brahimi from the Portuguese football side, UK media reported.

Brahimi, 26, who has rejected a big offer to join the Chinese Super League this summer, was not included in the Porto squad for Wednesday's second leg of the Champions League knockouts against Roma.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has finally admitted that he is keen on strengthening his backline this summer.

Speaking to reporters ahead of his side’s Premier League match against Watford, which the Blues eventually won with a scoreline of 2-1, the Italian boss said: “I think we need to sign some players. We have too few players in defence and we are working with the club to find a solution.”

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp may need to commence making contingency plans, with reports in the press indicating that the club’s summer signing Sadio Mane may be looking at spending a little while on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury.

The 24 year old got hurt today morning after suffering a collision while training with the Reds, following which he was driven to the nearly Liverpool Spire Hospital to have scans on his injury. And while the results of the same, which are likely to be revealed tomorrow, would dictate the amount of time and rest the player would be provided with, it is almost certain that he will not feature against Burnley this weekend.

English football club Everton announced the signing of Congolese winger Yannick Bolasie from Crystal Palace for £25 million ($32.4 million) on a five-year contract on Monday.

Bolasie said: "This is a big club and I know all about it from having played against them over the years. But now that I've come to Everton, the job is not done. I've got to work hard and feel my way in. I'm ready and up for the challenge.

Chelsea fans are in for a massive boost, with club manager Antonio Conte finally revealing that forward Diego Costa has made up his mind to remain at Stamford Bridge for the time being.

The Italian boss was quoted in The Metro, saying: “I am happy that he [Costa] stayed here and decided to work with us. We know he can improve with the work.”
