Canada Soccer's National Teams are a perfect five for five at home in 2017 as the Men's National Team won 2:0 over Jamaica to close out a Summer of Soccer Series. Anthony Jackson-Hamel and Jonathan Osorio were the goalscorers as Canada thrilled a terrific crowd of 21,724 at BMO Field in Toronto. David "Junior" Hoilett was named Man of the Match.

"This was probably the best game I’ve seen Junior play," said Men’s National Team Head Coach Octavio Zambrano. "When they asked me about Man of the Match he was hands down the player chosen. He is an elite-type of player, he’s at the elite level. When he gets the ball the first thing in his mind is there is a goal, and I want to get there and that bodes well for us because that’s the kind of football we want to play"

Canada earned a fifth-place finish and a 4-1 overall record at the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup (WRWC), after beating Australia 43-12 in the Fifth Place Play-off Saturday at Queen’s University.

After an early try from Australia, the Canadians struck back in emphatic fashion, scoring four first-half tries, including three in a span of eight minutes, to seize momentum and take control of the contest. With three more tries in the second half, the Canadians cruised to a convincing win.

Canada will play for fifth place at the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup (WRWC) after a dominant 52-0 win over Wales in the fifth-place semifinals Tuesday at Queen’s University.

Looking to make a point after missing the World Cup semifinals, Canada was on the front foot from start to finish, scoring eight tries and rolling to a no-doubter. Canada will play Australia in the fifth place match Aug. 26 (9am ET/6am PT). The Australians beat Ireland 36-24 in the other semifinal.

Canada Women’s Team head coach Francois Ratier has made four changes to his starting lineup for his team’s fifth place semifinal matchup with Wales Tuesday at the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup (WRWC) in Ireland.

Coming off a disappointing loss to New Zealand that ended Canada’s World Cup title dreams, Ratier has inserted four different players into the starting lineup and made one alteration amongst positions as the team prepares for Wales.

Canada Soccer have added both experience and youth to their Men’s National Team squad coming off a strong performance at the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Coach Octavio Zambrano has selected a pair of former Players of the Year and called in two debutants to the “A” squad for Canada’s return to BMO Field in Toronto this 2 September.

Midfielders Atiba Hutchinson and Will Johnson are both included in the September squad after missing this year’s CONCACAF Gold Cup run to the quarter-finals. Hutchinson of Brampton, Ontario is making his first appearance with head coach Octavio Zambrano. The five-time Canadian Player of the Year has led Beşiktaş JK to back-to-back Turkish Süper Lig titles and consecutive qualifications to UEFA Champions League.

Canada have advanced to the semi-finals after back-to-back wins at the CONCACAF Boys’ Under-15 Championship. Canada finished second in their group following a 3:0 win over Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday morning at the IMG Center in Bradenton, FL, USA.

Canada will next face Mexico on 17 August in the first of two semi-final matches followed by USA v Panama in the other Thursday semi-final. Fans can follow Canada’s team at the 2017 CONCACAF Boys’ Under-15 Championship across Canada Soccer’s digital channels including in-match updates on Twitter.
