Williams Martini Racing announced today that veteran driver Felipe Massa has agreed to re-join Williams on a one-year deal, coming out of retirement to replace Valtteri Bottas who the team has released to join Mercedes for the 2017 season.

Felipe will race for a fourth consecutive season with Williams, alongside Lance Stroll who will make his Formula One debut in the 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship.

American tennis legend Serena Williams said on Saturday that she would rather focus on the Australian Open rather than her upcoming wedding for the next couple of weeks.

The 35-year-old explained that she was paying more attention to the Grand Slam tournament, scheduled to kick off on January 16, than to her upcoming wedding with Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of the social network Reddit.

Williams is delighted to announce that Lance Stroll, who will race for WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING in the 2017 Formula One World Championship, will be appearing at this year’s Autosport Show (12th – 15th January 2017, NEC, Birmingham).

The Canadian will be taking to the Autosport International stage on Saturday 14th January, whilst Deputy Team Principal Claire Williams and Head of Performance Engineering Rob Smedley will be interviewed on Sunday 15th January.

American superstars Serena and Venus Williams both exited, but Dane Caroline Wozniacki advanced to the quarter-finals of the ASB Classic tennis tournament in Auckland on Wednesday.

35 year old Serena, who won her first round match against Pauline Parmentier yesterday, went down to fellow American Madison Brengle, 6-4, 6-7 (3-7), 6-4. Venus meanwhile withdrew from her match against Naomi Osaka of Japan after she sustained an injury to her arm.

The current cash crunch in India, following the November 8 demonetisation has led to multiple Grand Slam champions Roger Federer and Serena Williams pulling out of this season's International Premier Tennis League (IPTL), the organisers announced on Tuesday.

Both Federer and Serena were scheduled to play the final leg of the $100,000 tournament in Hyderabad from December 9 to 11. The Swiss star was to play for the Indian Aces while Williams was signed by the Singapore Slammers.

Williams announced today that it will be showcasing some of its most iconic cars at next year’s Autosport International Show, which takes place 12th – 15th January 2017 at the NEC, Birmingham.

The experiential centrepiece Williams will be creating to mark its 40th anniversary at the pinnacle of motor racing will also feature some of the most celebrated Formula One cars in the team’s history.
