Yuan Yanping secured her third straight judo +70kg women's title as China won another six gold medals at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. The 40-year-old defeated Uzbekistan's Khayitjon Alimova in the final with an ippon and a yuko at Carioca Arena 3 on Saturday, the third day of competitions. Yuan, who was born with severe myopia, also won gold in the event at the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Games.

"She (Alimova) is an old opponent. We have fought many matches together and she's improved a lot recently," Yuan told the Paralympic News Service.
