The Australian Diamonds have won the Constellation Cup series 4-0, after a dominant 16-goal victory over the New Zealand Silver Ferns. It is the first time since 2014 that the Diamonds have not lost a game during the annual series.

The Australian Diamonds have taken a 2-0 lead in the Constellation Cup, with an eight-goal victory over the Silver Ferns in Christchurch on Sunday afternoon. It took three and a half minutes for Susan Pettitt to shoot the Diamonds’ first goal, after Ferns started with two early turnovers.

The BLACKCAPS have named nine players in their One Day International squad to take on India next month, with six more to be added from the New Zealand A side currently touring.

The two sides will square off in three ODIs, the first of which will be in Mumbai on 22 October. Three Twenty20s will follow the series, with the squad for this to be announced when the remainder of the ODI team is named.

The Diamonds were defeated by the New Zealand Silver Ferns 57-47 in Invercargill, in the final test of the Netball Quad Series. The Silver Ferns claimed the Quad Series title, finishing higher than the Diamonds on the ladder based on percentage. It is the first time since the 2012 Constellation Cup that New Zealand has won a series over the Diamonds.

New Zealand paceman Mitchell McClenaghan has been released from his New Zealand Cricket central contract in order to pursue a pathway in overseas T20 leagues.

The 31-year-old left-armer this week submitted a request for his contract be terminated so he could be considered for the new Global T20 competition in South Africa and this summer’s Big Bash League in Australia.

The first Test between New Zealand and England starting March 22 will be played under lights – following Eden Park's successful application for resource consent from the Auckland Council.

Tentatively scheduled to be the first Day-Night Test played in New Zealand, the fixture today received the blessing of an independent panel of commissioners, and now looms as one of the highlights of the BLACKCAPS’ 2017-18 home summer.

A sixth career century by Mitahli Raj and a maiden five-for by left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad steered India into its third ICC Women’s World Cup semi-final with a convincing 186-run victory over New Zealand on the last day of the round matches in Derby on Saturday.

India’s victory and South Africa’s 59-run loss to Australia in Taunton meant India finished third on the points table behind host England and defending champion Australia (England finished ahead of Australia on Net Run-Rate). South Africa ended up fourth, while New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Pakistan finished in the second half of the eight-team tournament and will now take early flights home.
