Ken Pereira was born in July of 1973 and hails from Toronto, Canada. He is part of the men's field hockey team for the Commonwealth Games 2010 at New Delhi. Like most Canadians, Pereira's first love was ice hockey, having been introduced to the sport at the early age of 3. In fact, it wasn't until he was 16-year's old that he gravitated to field hockey.
Ken is now very much in love with his sport of choice, and is delighted that it gives him an opportunity to play against the best in the world. "I have also travelled the world twice over and I have met many great people," he said.
