The Australian Women's Cricket Team has suffered a 40-run loss to England in the second T20 INTL of the Commonwealth Bank Women's Ashes Series at Manuka Oval.

Needing 153 runs to win, Australian openers Beth Mooney (17) and Alyssa Healy (24) again made a fast start before Jenny Gunn dismissed them both. From then on Australia continued to lose wickets regularly, with only Rachael Haynes (14) and Delissa Kimmince (17) looking like turning things around, but neither were able to get the job done as Australia was eventually bowled out for 112.

Earlier in the day Australia lost the toss and were sent in to field first, with speedster Megan Schutt (2-16) continuing her good form with the ball, removing the dangerous Danni Wyatt for 19 in the fourth over.

A number of quick-fire cameo's from England's middle order, including Sarah Taylor (30), Natalie Sciver (40) and Katherine Brunt (32 not out) kept the scoreboard ticking over at better than a run a ball.

Jess Jonassen did her best to stem the flow of runs, finishing with tidy figures of 1-18 off four overs as England posted 6-152.
