Canadians Gabriela Dabrowski and Aleksandra Wozniak, as well as Océane Dodin of France will launch the festivities on opening night Monday at the National Bank Cup presented by IGA.

Wozniak, who will be playing for the 13th time in Quebec City, will face fifth-seeded American Varvara Lepchenko, ranked no. 64 in the world, in her first round match. Wozniak, who celebrated her 30th birthday a few days ago, has twice reached the semifinals of the National Bank Cup, in 2008 and 2009. This will be the fourth career meeting between the two players with Wozniak winning two of the three previous matches.

Dodin, who will be defending the title she won last year in Quebec City, will also play Monday night against Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski, who qualified for the main draw on Sunday. Since capturing her first WTA title here in 2016, Dodin has continued to climb the rankings and currently sits at no. 46. She is seeded second in the tournament. The organizing committee will use opening night to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Canadians Françoise Abanda and Bianca Andreescu, as well as top-seeded Czech Lucie Safarova will play Tuesday night. Andreescu will kick things off at 5 p.m. against American Jennifer Brady who just reached the fourth round of the U.S. Open. The 17-year-old Canadian has won both of their previous meetings. Safarova, ranked no. 37 in the world, will face American Anna Tatishvili at 7 p.m. The Czech is returning to Quebec City after being crowned champion in 2013. Abanda, who is the no. 2 ranked Canadian at no. 117 on the WTA rankings, will close out the evening against American Asia Muhammad.
