Following Zlatan Ibrahimovic's season ending injury and consequent departure from Old Trafford, the fact that Manchester United need a proven goalscorer is more than self evident. Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a return to the Red Devils a lot in the press recently, but it is common knowledge that Jose Mourinho doesn't share a good working relationship with his compatriot from their time together at Real Madrid, and the erstwhile 'Special One' is looking for a home grown solution to his goal scoring woes.

Enter Tottenham superstar Harry Kane, who according to the Independent has been valued at an amazing £200 million by Chairman Daniel Levy in an attempt to ward off interest from potential suitors.

That however may not be good enough, with reports in the Daily Star adding that bookmakers have dropped the odds on Kane's possible move to Man United from 20/1 to 6/1 in recent days.

It is also common knowledge that the one thing United don't have an issue with is money, giving new hope to United fans that England's 23 year old hitman could well be a Red Devil come the start of the new season.
