Manchester City veterans Jesus Navas and Gael Clichy have both ended their relationship with the Citizens, leaving the club on the expiry of their respective deals.

The two 31-year-olds joined are surplus to requirements at Manchester City with Manager Pep Guardiola plotting a massive summer overhaul after the club's poor showing in his first season in-charge.

Navas spent 4 years at City, while Clichy was at the club for 6 seasons. Navas had joined the club from Sevilla, while Clichy was one of many players to desert a sinking Arsenal ship and make the move to Manchester.

Navas is widely tipped to return to Spain, while Clichy may well look to see out another few years in the Premier League with plenty of mid-table clubs prepared to sign the Frenchman on a free transfer.

While a return to Arsenal seems unlikely for Clichy, Liverpool may also well consider a move for the veteran, having played former England international James Milner at left-back over the course of the last season.
