West Indies bounce back, limit Pakistan to 81 run lead

The West Indies bounced back in the second test against Pakistan, bowling out the visitors despite Azhar Ali scoring his 13th Test hundred and resolute batting from Misbah-ul-Haq to limit Pakistan’s advance in Barbados.

Shannon Gabriel was the most successful bowler with 4-81 from 32 overs, as the Pakistanis were dismissed for 393, replying to the Windies’ first innings total of 312, on the third day of the contest at Kensington Oval.

Holder grabbed 3-42 from 29 overs and leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo supported with 3-116 from 41 overs to complete the demolition job, but Azhar hit 105 and Misbah was dismissed for 99 to give the visitors an important lead.

At the close, West Indies reached 40 for one with Shimron Hetmyer not out on 22 and Kraigg Brathwaite not out on eight, after losing left-handed opener Kieran Powell caught behind off Muhammad Abbas for six.
