Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton launched a verbal tirade at Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, comparing the 67 year old Frenchman to an "an uncle who doesn't want to leave the party".

Sutton, who played for Chelsea before their rise to fame under Russian owner Roman Abramovich, did win the Premier League title once in his career at Blackburn Rovers, way back in 1995.

Sutton attacked Wenger in a recent interview, saying, "It's a dictatorship and he surrounds himself with yes men. He's been selfish. I'm surprised Steve Bould doesn't get hold of him and say this is the reality.

"He's taking the club backwards. They have just accepted mediocrity. His work in the transfer market has been a failure lately. Do the right thing and if you're not going to do the right thing then tell us."
