Manchester City eased past Premier League struggles Crystal Palace 3-0 at Selhurst Park to cruise into the fifth round of the FA Cup. The win was a welcome return to form for the Manchester giants after having failed to win their last two Premier League outings against Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Citizens handed starts to skipper Vincent Kompany and new signing Gabriel Jesus, and in what is certainly terrific news for Pep Guardiola, both men lasted the full 90 minutes.

Man City took a while to make their possession and dominance on the pitch count on the scoreboard with Jesus playing a pivotal role in setting up Raheem Sterling for the opening goal just before half time.

Palace battled bravely in the second half, but Leroy Sane killed the game as a contest, scoring for the third game running, finishing well from David Silva's defence splitting pass.

There was still time for Man City to grab a third which added some gloss to the scoreline with Yaya Toure scoring from a freekick in injury time at the end of the game to make it 3-0 for the visitors.

Manchester City will look to enjoy their return to the capital in a few days as they take on West Ham United in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
