Premier League giants Arsenal are believed to be exploring the possibility of landing Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac at the club, according to reports in Tuttomercatoweb.
Until a short while ago, it was understood that Serie A giants Juventus had succeeded in completing the signing of the highly rated Bosnian; however, latest reports emerging out of Italy indicate that Schalke and the player’s agents are not content with the kind of deal that the Bianconeri have offered them and that the Gunners may be emerging as strong contenders for the player’s signature for this year’s summer transfer window.
The 23 year old is a versatile performer, who, despite being a traditional left back, can also ply his trade as a centre back and a defensive midfielder. He has also represented his country 22 times on the international stage till date, apart from playing for Germany at a few youth levels on a number of occasions.
Kolasinac, in addition to being a good defender, is also a threat and an asset moving forward. So far this season, the player has found the back of the net twice, and has also provided 6 assists in the process – a quality that may make him indispensible to the north London giants in the times to come, should they succeed in signing him later this year.
