Jose Mourinho: "I will allow both of them to leave"

Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will not play Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay in any more matches this season as they plot an exit from the club. Jose has declared the wantaway duo as persona non grata at the club and is awaiting receipt of an acceptable bid to allow the midfield duo to leave Old Trafford.

Speaking about the duo ahead of United's clash with Reading in the FA Cup, Mourinho revealed, "I will allow both of them to leave - if the right offer comes. Until this moment, no. We don't have any offer that is close to the quality of the players we have."

United are hoping to recover a large chunk of the money they invested to buy the duo, both of whom arrived before Jose Mourinho joined the club this summer. Neither man has got much of a look in this season under Jose, but it is not certain that the players will indeed leave in January as the United boss continues to weigh the quality of bids they have received.

Speaking about that Jose shared, "We are waiting for something that a couple of weeks ago looked like 100% and at the moment looks like 0%."

Jose is of course exaggerating, but the reality is that Everton and West Bromwich Albion's bids for Morgan Schneiderlin have failed to meet United's valuation of the player, while no apparent bid has come in for Dutch winger Memphis Depay, who has also been linked with a move to Everton, among a host of international clubs.

It is possible that United are hoping to attract interest in the duo from Chinese clubs, who have been known to pay over the top to sign players.
