English football club Charlton Athletic's 19-year-old forward Ademola Lookman is likely to sign a $12 million contract with Everton early in the January transfer window, according to reports. Lookman's move is likely to go through quickly as Everton manager Ronald Koeman starts what is expected to be a busy January.
Everton's Director of Football Steve Walsh is also keen on snapping up the deal fast.
Lookman scored his seventh goal of the season in Charlton's 1-0 win at M.K. Dons on Boxing Day.
He was also linked with Crystal Palace.
"There is interest for the boy, yes." Koeman was quoted as saying by BBC.
The Toffees signed teenager striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Sheffield United in August and the England youth international has figured as a substitute against Arsenal and Liverpool recently.
Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has also tempted Koeman in a deal that will cost around $24 million.
