Danish star Caroline Wozniacki will play against Japan's Naomi Osaka in the Toray Pan Pacific Open final in Tokyo on Sunday.

World No.28 Wozniacki reached the final after defeating the second seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 after nearly three hours of exhilarating tennis.

Radwanska appeared to have the match in the bag when she served for at 6-4, 5-3 in the second set, and was two points away from winning it at 30-30, but an illtimed double fault handed Wozniacki a break back point, and the Dane kept the match alive as she put away a swinging forehand volley to bring the set back on serve.

Wozniacki went on a 4 game run to close out the second set, before narrowly edging out Radwanska in a tight third set to advance to the final.

The Dane shared after her thrilling win, "I think every time I play her, we play really tough matches - and long ones. Luckily I managed to win that second set and then we both fought so hard in that third one."

Osaka, the world No.66, advanced to the final after beating Ukrainian Elina Svitolina 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 in nearly two hours.

The 18 year old was looking forward to her maiden WTA final appearance, and shared, "I don't really feel pressure here since the first match, since everyone is ranked higher than me. I'm a wildcard, so I just try to do my best. But this, for sure, it's my best tournament."

This final will be the first clash between Wozniacki and Osaka.
