France's Head Coach Didier Deschamps has called up Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, while also naming Sebastien Corchia for the first time for the next two international football matches.

Deschamps's squad is preparing for a friendly with Italy on September 1, followed by a tie with Belarus on September 6 in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The 23-player list saw the return of Varane, who missed Euro 2016 because of an injury, as well as Nabil Fekir, while Patrice Evra, 35, was left out and the coach did not hide that his age was a consideration in the decision.
