Spanish Skipper Iker Casillas said on Thursday that it will be difficult for them to win a third consecutive title at the European football championships, although the team has "good players" to do so.

The goalkeeper told BRT News that all competing teams have been growing with generational change, so it will be difficult for Spain to win Euro 2016, which kicks off on Friday.

He explained that Spain has good players, but everything has to come together and with key moments of luck in order for victory, as was the case in the last two competitions.

The former goalkeeper of Real Madrid acknowledged that Spain's group includes the Czech Republic, Turkey and Croatia, who have "good players" and can complicate his team's qualification for the last 16.

Casillas warned against overconfidence in the opener against the Czech Republic after Spain lost the final warm-up against Georgia.
